To make Seitan (wheat gluten) Quarter Pounders, you will need quite a bit of time, so it’s a good idea to have a couple of hours to spare to make a few so that you can freeze some.

The recipe makes around 6 burgers.

The key ingredient is wheat gluten, which is pretty cheap and readily available from most health stores.  I get my wheat gluten from Holland & Barrett.
